OKTOBERFEST - Friday, October 6 - 5-9 PM TICKETS ARE SOLD OUT!
The Oktoberfest celebration is designed to bring beer enthusiasts downtown to enjoy a night of tasting Georgia craft brews. Over 30+ downtown business participants extend their business hours, and their hospitality, to downtown guest to serve as tasting locations for the different varieties of craft beer that is available for sampling. Downtown businesses provide complimentary refreshments, retail sales specials and other treats for all Oktoberfest guests. Each participant will receive a wristband to indicate paid participation and that they are of legal drinking age. If you are not part of Oktoberfest, please feel free to come shop at the Hug Box anyway! Beer will NOT be served to those who have not paid for the event.
MARKET DAY - Saturday, October 7 - 10-2pm
ONLY 3 MORE MARKET DAYS UNTIL CHRISTMAS. The Monthly Market Day is hosted by Main Street Newnan on the first Saturday of every month from March-December, around the courthouse square in downtown Newnan, from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. The market showcases a variety of handmade, homemade, and homegrown products created by local artisans, artists, and farmers. It features over 50 unique booths with new vendors and one-of-a-kind items each month. And don't forget you can find even more local artisan goods and gifts, everyday. at the Hug Box shop.
SPIRITS AND SPICE FESTIVAL - Saturday, October 21 2-7pm
Visit Historic Downtown Newan to eat, drink, and get spooky! Event attendees will be able to get their “boos” on by walking the Downtown Spirits Trail and purchasing specialty cocktails at different participating locations, spice things up by tasting numerous types of chilis at the Chili Cook-Off, and have some skele-fun on the Twisted Trolley Tour ride to McRitchie's Mad for Pumpkins Museum and the Oak Hill Cemetery. The event will feature live music, a craft market, and activities for the kids. The Hug Box will be open until 5pm so stop by and shop Halloween artisan creations!

Meet Fiona. She is An Akita/Rat Terrier mix who is a year old. Her foster family reports that Fiona is shy but warms up to folks. She is good with other dogs and cats. Loves to romp in the yard - bounces about like a deer. Enjoys her Nylabone toy and works Level 2 Dog Puzzles! Look at her adorable markings. She is a honey.
