The Hug Box April News

April brings showers for upcoming flowers and fun!

Easter has come and gone, but is always a mighty reminder of how important love and forgiveness in our daily lives brings joy and peace to all that participate. I am so grateful for God and all the love and forgiveness that He gives all of us. My days are filled with Him and I only pray that with each day I can do my best to serve His purpose. Many hugs and blessing to you and yours,

"Vicki takes special care to make sure that the Hug Box is special to each individual recipient. I learned about the Hug Box from a friend who thoughtfully sent one to me and fell in love with the concept. These are crazy times and what a perfect way to send a "hug" to let them know you care.

The Hug Box Gift Box

Saturday, April 22 - Earth Day
More and more, individuals are looking to make sustainable changes to their everyday routine to drive toward greener living year-round.

While it will never be a perfect sustainable world, every little bit on a daily basis helps. Here is a very informative site 7 simple ways.  PS: #3 - Sustainable Gifting. For more about living a greener life CLICK HERE

The Hug Box has always been sustainable in its packaging using only recycled, recyclable and repurposed materials and sourced from local and locally made materials and products. And the least amount of materials are used as possible when creating the package and for delivery.

The products in the Hug Boxes are made by local artisans, many whom practice sustainable handmade methods using local, natural materials and ingredients. Some also have sustainable packaging.

The Hug Box shop is also mostly furnished with repurposed tables and displays that were purchased from local nonprofit businesses and refurbished for the shop. The Hug Box shop is about being authentic to its brand. The gift that gives back in so many ways.

The Hug Box shop itself is filled with local artisan goods and gifts. We are an all year round local artists market. There are so many creative people in every community - all that you could want or ask for is right there in your backyard.

And on a personal note, at home, I enjoy having a garden, composting, recycling and also repurposing. And I'm the crazy one that saves all of the birthday and Christmas gift bags and tissue paper and uses it again.

Plant Newnan
Plant Newnan

City of Newnan residents have long enjoyed the benefits of tree-lined streets and backyards. On March 26, 2021, an EF4 tornado removed a 526 acre swatch of mature canopy from our city. While residents were busy in recovery mode, a small grassroots group of citizens recognized the importance of beginning to plan the revitalization of reestablishing a tree canopy. Amidst the disaster, Plant Newnan was born and began building partnerships to create planting programs that would ensure quality species of trees were established in the tornado affected areas. Visit Plant Newnan to find out more about how you can help.
