We love partnering with local small businesses and non-profits. The Hug Boxes in this collection all contain products made by the women of Thistle Farms, a nonprofit social enterprise based in Nashville, Tennessee. Thistle Farms focuses on supporting women survivors of trafficking, prostitution, addiction, and other forms of trauma.
Their enterprises provide paid jobs and meaningful work for women survivors, helping them build financial independence and dignity.
The program is free to participants, i.e., housing, healthcare, etc., are provided without cost to them.
They operate multiple social enterprises (Body & Home, The Café, and Global Shared Trade) which produce goods (e.g. candles, soaps, lotions) and generate revenue that supports the mission and provides employment.
