Thank you for choosing The Hug Box for your gift-giving. This was a creation from my heart - something that I loved to personalize and give to my friends and family to bring smiles. And since I am a big hugger it made perfect sense.
There are many reasons I created the Hug Box. When a dear friend of mine found out she had breast cancer, I immediately wanted to put together a gift basket that had lots of happy, healthy surprises to make her smile. I had a hard time finding eco-friendly products and packaging in nearby stores. I believe in giving healthy, handmade, eco-friendly, all-natural quality products for gifts as much as possible. There are some products out there that contain toxins, and possibly made somewhere in a not-so-good factory – products that may not be good for health or living environments. It's good to know the ingredients and origination of the products you and your loved ones use daily. Now I help lots of people send healthy hugs in a box to brighten someone's day.
All of the research and preparation I do also provides other benefits. You don't have to step out of the house, rack your brain and drive all over town trying to find the perfect gift and gift wrap. You can stay de-stressed and comfy at home while helping the environment, saving gas, your precious time and money! We have curated a variety of Hug Box themes filled with artisan goodies, which are custom-wrapped in eco-friendly packaging. We also personalize it for you with a Hug Box notecard with your note. Then we mail your box of hugs to their door! PS: We can also customize a Hug Box and we can also send it to you so that you can deliver it with a real hug. :)
Another reason that coincides with the health and environment reasons is supporting local artisans and communities. Being an artist myself, I know that it is hard to make a living doing what you love. It was a mission of mine to support the artisans (and there are so many across the USA) that are so talented, work hard and create professional products for a living and bring awareness to their eco-friendly, all-natural and handmade products. And a bonus is that a lot of these artisans also give back to nonprofits of all kinds. Community is important and the Hug Box has many ideas on the horizon as we grow. Think Hug-a-Child Campaign.
Last but not least, I also love to create everyday, thinking of new ways to make a difference and give hugs!
