Love and Hugs to our Earth

This is the time of year that I love... cool mornings and evenings still with a warm day ahead, wind and showers for growth and carrying the seeds and pollen (and washing it away too! haha) cleaning out the weeds, potting plants and flowers, watching the perennials grow, planting the garden and putting out food waiting for the hummingbirds to come back to visit while I sip my morning coffee on the front porch. I am so grateful to be able to enjoy all of these things and the work that involves keeping it up. God has created so many beautiful and bountiful gifts for us on this earth. And April is the month of Earth Day.. I thought this stanza from a well known poem was perfect to share:

“The sun was warm but the wind was chill.
You know how it is with an April day.
When the sun is out and the wind is still,
You're one month on in the middle of May.
But if you so much as dare to speak,
a cloud come over the sunlit arch,
And wind comes off a frozen peak,
And you're two months back in the middle of March.”

While we had the amazing total eclipse occur this month, another reason to celebrate our earth is the official EARTH DAY - Monday April 22. A wonderful day to celebrate our love for our earth and taking care of it like our own backyards!
