COVID-19 Q&A

GRATEFUL. We are very grateful to all our customers who have been supporting our small business and local artisans during this unprecedented time. We love helping to send hugs and bringing smiles. Your reviews and messages about your and your Hug Box recipient's experiences and joy are why we do this.

CURRENT STATUS. The brick and mortar shop closed Friday, March 13, but we re-opened Saturday, June 6th. Our current gift shop hours FOR JANUARY are Thursday - Saturday 11am - 5pm. Online orders will ship Monday - Saturday* (*Orders placed on Saturday and Sunday will be shipped on Monday). Safety and health are a high priority. We are wearing face masks, providing hand sanitizer and not permitting more than 6 people in the shop at one time. Face masks are your option.

PICK UPIf you are local and choose pick up, please be sure to leave a contact number to schedule the day and time of pick up at the shop. Choose at checkout.

LOCAL DELIVERYWe are also offering local delivery for nearby zip codes. Choose at checkout.


DON'T FORGET TO ORDER SOON FOR HOLIDAYS for ON-TIME DELIVERY. 

With COVID-19 still lurking, shipping timelines may be longer than usual, especially during the holidays. We want your Hug Box to be delivered on time, so contact us if you have any questions about deadline dates to be as safe as possible. We offer discounted rates for USPS in the Southeast as we ship from Georgia. We also offer UPS. As we would love to completely manage your Hug Box delivery, once we drop your Hug Box off at USPS or UPS, we can not guarantee a specific delivery time except for what they estimate.You will receive an email with a tracking number and may follow it's route for safe landing. If you do happen to have an issue, please notify us and we will be happy to assist in resolving it. If you are delivering a Hug Box in the Newnan, Georgia area, we can deliver same day if ordered before 12 noon EST.

SHIPPING /BILLING ADDRESS. If you pay using a third party (Amazon, PayPal, Google Pay), your billing address will not appear on your account with us and sometimes that may be confusing on your end when you receive notifications about your order. Please double check your shipping address when placing your order and let us know if it needs to be changed as soon as possible. Our goal is to get your Hug Box fulfilled and shipped off the day you place your order (orders placed by 1pm ECT), and definitely the next day.

MESSAGE FOR NOTECARD. Please be sure to look for the message box on the 'add to cart' page. If you plan to pay using a third party (Amazon, PayPal, Google Pay) be advised that once you leave our site, there will be no option to send a message for the notecard, so please email the recipient's name, your message and who it from with your order # to hello@thehugbox.com.

HUG BOX UPDATES. We have updated our Hug Boxes with some new artisans and new products. We love consistency, but once in awhile may not have particular products back in inventory soon enough during this COVID-19 crisis. Therefore we may update Hug Boxes with products that we have available.

NEW LOCAL ARTISANS AT SHOP. During the COVID time, we like many other small businesses worked at redefining their businesses for re-opening and for future growth. Along with our Hug Box artisan goods that are offered in our Hug Boxes, we decided to offer our shop space to local artisans as well to showcase and sell their professional and quality handmade goods ranging from holistic bath and body products, candles purses, bags, jewelry, household goods, artwork and more - handmade from leather, ceramic, fabric. If you would like to be considered as an artisan at our shop or in our Hug Boxes, please submit an application.
