New Year Hugs for All

I don't know about you, but I am not a cold weather person, except for a day or two of fluffy fun snow - like back in my Ohio days or the occasional ski trip. And to my surprise, Georgia was given flurries of snowflakes for a couple of days! The months of January into February usually means a low key time to rest and rejuvenate. Try this to get energized for the day: Yoga for the Winter Season.

And to reflect back on the year... look back through photos (on your smartphone). This is a great way to remember the beautiful moments with friends, family, colleagues, neighbors and even your pets.

And to reset for the new year...

Here are five things (that I learned from Christy Wright) on what to prioritize in 2025:

1. Peace instead of productivity. Productivity gets so much attention, but it often leaves us rushing, stressed, and missing the moments that matter most. This year, what if you choose peace instead? Try slowing down, scale back, and create space for joy and connection.
   
   
2. Presence instead of performing. Be authentic and show up fully, even in the mess. Watch how your relationships deepen and your life feels more free.
   
   
3. Progress instead of perfection. Instead of chasing the finish line that keeps moving, take a moment to look back at how far you’ve come and celebrate your progress.
   
   
4. Purpose instead of profit. Trust in the purpose God has placed on your heart. Even if it's not clear yet, rely on Him to lead you and provide what you need for that calling.
   
   
5. Private growth instead of public praise. In a world that values visibility, it's the hidden acts of prayer, kindness, and obedience that hold the most significance.
