I was thinking about what to write for June while I was out walking with my dogs this morning (and needed some content since being behind on my blog and email for the month) when my good friend sent me something to listen to, as my friends and i do often - share things to remind us what life is all about. The month of May was busy at the shop, which I am grateful - all of the love and support from my customers always prevails. Honestly this last month was overwhelming with other tasks on my plate as well, As usual constantly thinking about how to keep the business moving and growing, pay the bills and open up to getting more help, plus keeping up with staying in touch with loved ones, taking care of my family, home, dogs... taking care of me. All of the thoughts that run through OUR heads everyday. This is when I pause and have chats with God and pray and listen and wait. He always steps in when I open my heart to Him. And the message my friend sent me in that moment did just that... reminded me... He's got this. I wanted to share that message with you. CLICK HERE to listen. SUMMER NEWNANIGHTS, Thursday, June 8, 6-9pm
Mainstreet Newnan monthly summer event series at Greenville Street Park during the months of June-August, every second Thursday of the month. Event features family friendly music and entertainment! The park will also be filled with various festivities, food trucks and vendor booths/sponsor booths. Some downtown businesses will stay open late during the Summer NewnaNights, and feature specials and promotions for shoppers and guests.
SUMMER WINED-UP, Wine-tasting Event, Friday, June 16, 5-9pm
Individual tastings occur at a different downtown business, where guests go on a "wine walk” that moves through over 25 host locations. All downtown business hosts are happy to extend their business hours and hospitality to all downtown guests; drinkers, and non-drinkers, including retail specials and promotions. Main Street Newnan releases a limited number of 500 Summer Wined-up tickets for drinkers that are available for purchase. Get your ticket before they sell out. BUY TICKET.
VIH EVENT, Very Important Hugger Appreciation Evening, Friday, June 30, 5-7pm
It's been a bit since I have had a gathering for Hug Box customers with all of the disruption these last couple of years and then a move to a new location. This month is The Hug Box's 9 year anniversary since launching. We appreciate the love and support that many of you have given us over the years to keep the Hug Box growing and gifting. The VIH evening will include refreshments, gifts and giveaways. If you are one of our very loyal and local customers, please be on the lookout for an email for your VIH invite and please RSVP ASAP. First 20 to RSVP will receive a Swag Bag to collect that evening. For those VIHers that live outside of Georgia, please look for the email as well, as we will be involving you from a distance to show you our appreciation.
