I hope you are getting some time to take a relaxing vacation this summer.
I'm finally on a long weekend vacation. I am still working a little - it's nice to catch up while listening to the ocean. Soon I will get out on the beach and really relax knowing I paid the bills, created some content, checked in at the shop, prepared for upcoming meetings, sketched some logos, worked out some upcoming Hug Box design ideas - oh how the list goes on... but I love it. It keeps the hugs being delivered! And that also inspired my blog graphic for this month. I am a huge Audrey Hepburn fan, so this quote was perfect. "To plant a garden is to believe in tomorrow." That is what I do everyday, as I create and plant new ideas each and every day and continue to believe that God still has growing plans for the Hug Box.

SUMMER NewnaNights, Thursday, July 13, 6-9pm
Mainstreet Newnan monthly summer event series at Greenville Street Park during the months of June-August, every second Thursday of the month. Event features family friendly music and entertainment! The park will also be filled with various festivities, food trucks and vendor booths/sponsor booths. Some downtown businesses will stay open late during the Summer NewnaNights, and feature specials and promotions for shoppers and guests.
SUNDAY FUNDAY, Sunday, July 16, 12-4pm
Every now and again my friend Laura (Newnan Book Company) and I will open our shops on a Sunday. So be sure to pop b if you have a hard time getting to us during the week. 5 EASY IDEAS FOR A SUMMER REFRESH
1. Flowers. We love flowers, that's why we also have the option to send flowers in a Hug Box. We also have easy-to-grow lavender, sage, dog grass and cat nip garden bags and seed tins of various wildflowers to attract butterflies, hummingbirds. You can Build a Hug Box and add flowers or seed tins to your gift. Or come by the Hug Box shop and grab some for yourself.
2. Pillows. Pillows are an easy interchangeable accessory for any room for any season. At the Hug Box shop, we love our pillows that are hand-loomed with up-cycled fabric by the nonprofit re:loom in Georgia. A variety of colors and well crafted. They also make small loomed mats for table decor or for the dog or cat bowls.
3. Plants. Air plants are the easiest to take care of - no soil needed. Fresh air, water and indirect bright light make it easy to add them to most any room. They are a sweet addition to office space or college dorms. Our artisans created mini pots from ceramic to wire gemstone hangers (no copper! Air plants DO NOT like copper) and crocheted pots. We can add one to any custom Hug Box or come by and pick one up for your special space.
4. Scent. Rose, Lemon Verbena, Havana, Lavender, Sweet Orange & Rosemary, Sweet Peach, Almond Honey - those are just a few of the amazing fresh scented essential oil, non-toxic candles we offer in our Hug Box gift boxes and at the shop. They are all natural soy candles, which are healthier and last longer. You can get a large or small travel-size, which are included in many of our curated Hug Boxes like A Day at the Spa Hug Box.
5. Art. We love our talented artists. You can find beautiful, happy pieces that are easy to frame from black and white illustrations to colorful floral. Great gifts and perfect for a refresh of any room.
