Summer Fun & Hugs!

Summer Fun & Hugs!

I thought this quote was perfect for this time of year and it is from one of my favorites, Under the Tuscan Sun by Frances Mayes. A story of love, disappointment, courage, and strength (plus it's based in the beautiful, artistic and romantic country of Italy). A ladybug is a symbol in this story; symbolizing surrendering to fate and allowing good things to happen, especially when one is open to unexpected opportunities. Letting go of control can lead to happiness.

It's your time for summer breaks - vacations - adventures. And while you are busy bees having fun, sometimes it's nice to have help while you're away and in the midst of play. We can assist you with your gift giving list. Merely order your gifts ahead of time and send us the date that you would like your Hug Box to arrive by. Perfect for birthday gifts! And always a meaningful gift for thinking of you, get well and thank you.

Read below for some summer activity info and have a beautiful and blessed summer!
- Love and hugs! Vicki

8 ideas to start your fun in June.

1. Go strawberry picking. The best time is mid May - mid June. Here's an all natural strawberry treat recipe. Strawberry Chocolate Greek Yogurt Bark.

2. Get a hummingbird feeder. I have three hummingbird feeders at my house and these tiny, speedy birds are a joy to watch as they zip around, showing off their aerial acrobats and hovering skills. DIY: The Spruce has twelve fun ideas. or get a Home Depot hummingbird feeder. Setting up a feeder is easy—just fill it with a simple sugar-water solution (it’s just 1 part white cane sugar to 4 parts water) and place it in a spot with a clear view. And change the food and clean the feeder often so no mold grows.

3. Enjoy Summer Solstice. With more sunlight hours than any other day, summer solstice is the perfect time to enjoy outdoor adventures, from morning yoga in the park to a barbecue dinner as the sun sets. You could also take a scenic hike, explore a local beach, or host a garden party under the evening sky. Local: June 20-21. Summer Solstice Retreat with True Balance.

4. Make a summer reading list. Start by curating a list of your favorites or new releases you’ve been eager to try. Don’t forget to include some classics like Jane Austen!
Local: Elizabeth will have the latest suggestions at Newnan Book Co. Re-opening on Saturday June 7.

5. Go camping. Head out to your favorite spot, pitch a tent or hammock, and let nature take the lead. Campfires, starry nights, and the peacefulness of the outdoors await you.

This June, celebrate Father’s Day by acknowledging all the amazing things dads do. Gift ideas - Is he a history buff? Is he a golf nut? Baseball? Does he love music?
